hidden treasures

Do you have a need? Are you struggling to wait on God for a next step? Are you seeking God despite sickness in your body? Are you wondering how God is going to provide for a specific need? Is your heart lost in wondering? Wherever you may find yourself today, let me join the sweet Spirit of God, singing this truth over your heart.

When writing to the saints in Christ at Colossae, Paul states in Colossians 2:3, “In Him are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.”

What does this mean for us? It simply means exactly what it says, in Christ Jesus are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. In other words, whatever need you have, the answer is found in Christ.

He is the image of God (v.15). Everything was created by Him (v.16). He is before all things, and by Him all things hold together (v.17). He is the beginning (v.18). By His blood shed on the Cross, He has made peace (v.20).

And yet, we search for the answers to our needs, sickness, grief, losses, and changes in life in everything but Him. When He is the only One we should be looking to. In Him are hidden the answers to everything you face today.

Paul was writing to the church, so these were Christians, that needed to be reminded to keep their eyes locked on the Father and the fullness of who He is. So I join with him, in reminding you and myself today, that Jesus is our answer to everything. Hide yourself in the shadow of His Presence. Let His Word be engraved upon the tablets of your heart and mind. Choose to lay your burdens at his feet and be reminded that He is the only one who knows the perfect will He wants you to follow.

As you seek Him, it does not mean our circumstances will change in an instance. Trust me, I know. But rather as we earnestly seek Him, He reveals Himself to us. His heart becomes our heart. And when we are aligned with Him, His perfect will becomes known to us. The treasures of His wisdom and knowledge bring the perfect light of His presence to our lives.

This means that even in the unknowns and “losses,” of this life, yet we are fully satisfied in knowing Him. Just to know Him must be enough. Because of who He is.

My personal prayer, and prayer for you as well, is to know Him. To know the treasures of His wisdom and knowledge that come from having a personal and intimate relationship with Him.

Let Christ dwell in your heart, seek Him while He may be found.

Much love and prayers.
